How to make Rava Idli Recipe?

Rava Idli is very famous in South India. The people of South India like to eat Suji Idli very much.

1 cup semolina (rava) ½ tsp mustard oil ½ tsp cumin ½ tsp asafoetida 1 tsp chana dal 1 tsp urad dal 1-2 curry leaves 3 dry red chilies 6/7 cashew almonds chopped ⅓ cup curd ½ cup grated ginger 2 finely chopped green chilies 2 tsp oil ½ tsp ghee

Cook Time:30Min


Step -1 

First of all, heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.

Step -2

Then add chana dal, asafoetida, urad dal, curry leaves etc. as per your taste and fry well.


Then add semolina and mix well. Fry it lightly and let it cool for 7-8 minutes.

Step- 4

Now make a paste of thick curd and green chillies in a bowl.

Now add roasted rava, water and mix it well and then add ginger and coriander to it.

Pour 2 glasses of water in a steamer and heat it on low flame and grease the idli mold with oil.

Step -7

Now put the rawa paste in the oiled mold and cook them for 10-15 minutes.
