Ingredients for Bathua Raita Recipe:

  • 200 grams Bathua
  • 400 grams Yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon White Salt
  • Black Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted Cumin Powder
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 2 Red Chilies
  • 2 small spoons of oil, for tempering

Method to make Bathua Raita Recipe:

  1. First of all, break the leaves of Bathua and wash them well, then boil it for 5 to 6 minutes.
  2. After Bathua boils, when it cools down, strain it and take a mixer, put boiled Bathua and green chili in it and make a paste.
  3. Now take a bowl and strain 400 grams of yogurt with the help of a strainer. So that there is a smooth texture in the curd. Now add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black salt, and cumin powder to it and mix well.
  4. Now put the paste of Bathua in it and mix well.
  5. Now take a tempering pan, put 2 small spoons of oil in it, and heat it, put 1 spoon of cumin and a pinch of asafoetida in it, if you want you can break 2 dry red chilies and put it which is optional.
  6. Now put this tempering in the raita. Your Bathua Raita is ready, now enjoy it.
