Ingredients For Jalebi Recipe

Jalebi Batter Ingredients

  • 1 Cup water
  • ⅛ Tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 Tbsp gram flour
  • 1 Pinch baking soda
  •  1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1-2 Tbsp all purpose flour (at the end)

Sugar Syrup Ingredients

  • Oil 
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • ½ Cup Water
  • ¼ tsp Saffron Strands

How to make Jalebi Batter

  1. Take a vessel, add 1 cup all purpose flour, 2 tsp gram flour, turmeric powder and a little baking powder and mix it well.
  2. Now add 1 cup of water and mix well. And keep this batter covered with cloth for 12 to 24 hours.
  3. After this time mix the batter. To thicken the batter, add 1 to 2 tsp of all purpose flour and mix it well.
  4. Pour all the batter into an old ketchup bottle or use a jalebi maker.

how to make sugar solution

  1. Take a pan and add 1 cup sugar, tsp cardamom powder and turmeric powder and cup water and heat it on low flame.
  2. When the batter becomes sticky, add tsp lemon juice and mix it well.
  3. And let it remain on the stove on low flame.

How to make Jalebi

  1. Take a kadai or pan and put oil in it and heat it. When the oil becomes hot.
  2. Now make jalebi in oil and when one side is slightly cooked, then turn the jalebi and cook the whole jalebi till it becomes light golden.
  3. Now dip the cooked jalebi in the sugar solution for 2 to 3 minutes. Now take out the jalebi and keep it outside.
  4. And cook all the jalebis like this. And serve the jalebi only hot.
