Ingredients to make the Soya Chaap recipe:

For Marination:

  • 5 sticks soya chaap
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • Oil, for frying
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric

For the gravy:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 pod cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 inch cinnamon
  • Water

Method to making Soya Chaap Recipe :

For marination:

  1. First of all wash the soya chaap well with water, and dry it well.
  2. Now take out the soya chaap from the stick and cut it into small pieces. Do not cut too big, it will take more time to cook.
  3. Now put oil in a pan and heat it. Now put soya chaap in it and fry on low flame till it becomes crisp and golden.
  4. Now take the fried soya chaap in a bowl, and then add 1/4th tsp garam masala, 1/4th tsp salt, 1/4th tsp chili powder, 1/4th cup curd and 1/4th small Add a spoonful of turmeric.
  5. Now mix it well and keep it covered for half an hour.

To make gravy:

  1. Take a pan and heat 1 tbsp oil and 1/2 tsp ghee in it.
  2. Now add 1/4 tsp cumin, 1/2 inch cinnamon, 3 cloves, 1 cardamom, 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste. Now add 1 finely chopped onion and fry till golden.
  3. Now add 2 finely chopped tomatoes to it, and fry till it becomes soft.
  4. Now add 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp cumin powder and mix well and fry on low flame till the oil separates. .
  5. Now add marinated soya chaap and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Now add water as required and mix it well. Now cover it and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Cook till the soya chaap is cooked.
  7. Finally your Masala Soya Chaap recipe is ready, you can eat it with roti or naan and rice.
